As we look ahead to 2026, it’s an ideal time to reflect on the progress, achievements and milestones that defined 2025 at Powercomm Group. Over the past year, the business has continued to grow at a pace, delivering critical energy infrastructure while strengthening its commitment to quality, sustainability and community.

Delivering critical energy infrastructure

Throughout 2025, Powercomm successfully delivered a number of key grid and substation projects across Ireland, including:

  • 38 kV projects at Clashwilliam, Carrigalong and Pickering, supporting regional grid capacity and resilience
  • The 110 kV Coolnabacky substation, a significant high-voltage project completed to the highest engineering and safety standards

Looking ahead, the company is preparing to commence a 400 kV project in 2026, marking a major step forward in Powercomm’s capability to deliver large-scale, high-voltage infrastructure.

Awards, accreditations and industry recognition

2025 was also a year of recognition for the standards Powercomm upholds across safety, quality and performance. During the year, the company achieved ISO accreditations, received the ESB Networks Platinum Award – the highest tier of recognition for performance and delivery – and was nominated for the Kildare Chamber Excellence in the Community Award, recognising its positive impact beyond project delivery.

Powercomm also launched its internal Powering Excellence Awards, designed to celebrate the achievements, professionalism and dedication of its people.

“2025 has been a defining year for Powercomm,” said James Cafferty, Managing Director of Powercomm Group. “From delivering complex high-voltage projects to receiving industry recognition and investing in our people and communities, every milestone reflects the commitment, expertise and teamwork across the organisation. As we move into 2026, we are well-positioned to continue growing responsibly while supporting Ireland’s energy transition.”

Community, sustainability and ESG progress

Community engagement remained a core focus throughout the year. Powercomm continued its sponsorship of Caragh GAA, supporting grassroots sport and local participation, and also backed a Biodiversity in Schools initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and education among young people.

Alongside this, the company progressed the development of its ESG strategy, strengthening its approach to sustainability, responsible operations and long-term positive impact.

Strengthening our digital presence

In 2025, Powercomm also launched a new company website. The previous site no longer reflected the scale of the business or the breadth of services now delivered, so the new website was developed to better represent Powercomm’s capabilities, projects and values, while improving usability for clients, partners and prospective employees.

Supporting growth with the right foundations

A major milestone during 2025 was Powercomm’s move into a new state-of-the-art facility in Naas. This investment reflects both recent growth and future ambition, providing the space and infrastructure required to support an expanding team and an increasingly complex project portfolio.

Looking ahead to 2026

As Powercomm enters 2026, the business is well-positioned for its next phase of growth. With major projects ahead, a strong and committed workforce, and a continued focus on safety, quality, sustainability and community, Powercomm remains dedicated to playing a meaningful role in Ireland’s evolving energy landscape.

Powercomm would like to thank its employees, clients, partners and the wider community for their continued support and looks forward to another year of empowering innovation and powering progress.
