Celebrating International Men’s Day: Powering Progress and Supporting Men’s Wellbeing

At Powercomm Group, we believe that progress is powered not just by technology, but by people,  those who lead, inspire, and uplift those around them.
On International Men’s Day, we take a moment to celebrate the men who contribute to our success every day — from our project managers, electricians, apprentices, design team and engineers on-site to our office and support teams across Ireland and beyond.

What International Men’s Day Is All About

International Men’s Day, held annually on 19 November, is an opportunity to highlight positive male role models, promote gender equality, and raise awareness about men’s health and wellbeing.
This year’s theme centres on “Positive Male Role Models and Wellbeing” — a reminder that leadership goes beyond titles. It’s about integrity, teamwork, and creating a culture where everyone can thrive.

At Powercomm, these values are at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud of our male colleagues who lead by example, foster collaboration, and demonstrate daily what it means to power progress.

Supporting Men’s Health with Movember

This month, Powercomm Group is proud to be supporting Movember, a global initiative that raises awareness and funds for men’s health issues — including mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

Throughout November, our team is taking part in fundraising and awareness activities to support this important cause:

  • Growing a Mo: Some of our team are embracing the classic Movember moustache to start conversations and spark smiles.
  • Step Challenge: Others are getting active, taking part in a friendly steps competition to promote both mental and physical well-being.
  • Donations Drive: Powercomm is matching staff donations to boost our collective impact.

Together, we’re walking, talking, and growing to make a difference.

If you’d like to support our Movember efforts, you can contribute to our team page here: https://ie.movember.com/donate/details?teamId=2485653#amount

Celebrating the Men Who Power Progress

From complex electrical installations to sustainable energy projects, our teams embody dedication, expertise, and teamwork.
Today, we recognise the men who:

  • Mentor and support younger colleagues
  • Lead with empathy and purpose
  • Balance work and family life with commitment and care
  • Bring passion, creativity, and resilience to every challenge

Their contributions help Powercomm Group grow stronger — together.

Building a Culture of Support and Inclusion

As Powercomm Group continues to expand both locally and internationally, we remain committed to fostering a workplace that values diversity, equality, and wellbeing.
We believe that when our people thrive, our business and communities thrive too.

So, here’s to the men of Powercomm — for powering innovation, driving progress, and helping to build a brighter, more connected future.
