May 19th marked a proud moment for everyone at Powercomm Group as we officially opened the doors to our new head office in Johnstown, County Kildare. The event was a celebration of how far we’ve come – and where we’re headed next.
We were honoured to welcome Minister James Lawless, who joined our Managing Director James Cafferty and his wife Bridget to cut the ribbon in front of our incredible team. It was a moment that reflected the collective effort, commitment, and energy that have brought Powercomm to where we are today.
This new facility represents more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a space designed to support our growing team, foster innovation, and help us deliver even more renewable energy projects at home and abroad.
During the opening, we were proud to announce the creation of 20 new roles within the company. As we continue to grow, we’re placing a strong focus on hiring graduates and electrical apprentices – building the next generation of talent and creating long-term careers in the energy sector.
Speaking at the event, James Cafferty thanked the Powercomm team for their hard work and commitment.
“As a company, I believe we have the best people working in this industry across all aspects of our work. This office will be the backbone of our delivery teams working on the ground. It will be where our Engineering, project management, Health and safety, tendering, office administration, accounts, and our financial/commercial team will reside while our personnel on the ground build and deliver our projects”, he said.
With over 90 staff now part of the Powercomm team, our Johnstown facility is designed to support our expansion and ensure we have the space, tools, and environment to thrive.
We’re incredibly excited for what lies ahead and grateful to everyone – our staff, clients, and community – who have been part of the Powercomm journey so far. Here’s to powering progress, together.
