James Cafferty set up Powercomm ten years ago to provide specialist power connection and commissioning services in the electrical engineering industry.
James has over 20 years’ experience at all levels – including the highest – in the sector working with such prestigious companies as: ESB & Siemens on leading projects in Ireland and the UK. As founder and managing director of Powercomm, James personally leads a highly-motivated, qualified and experienced team.
For Powercomm clients James guarantees the standard of work, the track record of the people completing the work and the quality of the executed project. James takes pride in the fact that if a client needs to talk to him, he is there to personally assure that what is planned to happen truly does.
Aidan Brennan
Engineering Manager
Aidan has over 25 years’ experience in engineering design including BIM & CAD, project management, project cost control from the initial tender analysis stage to the submission and agreement of final accounts.
His current role carries the responsibility for all technical engineering design and compliance, the creation of project budgets, management of all procurement procedures required in the life-cycle of projects, organisation of the tender process, construction handover to the site team and the management of contract legal requirements.
Aidan’s previous work experience includess power system design, project management and commissioning in the power generation sector, data centres, alternative energy, food, bio-pharmaceutical, medical devices, mining, health and digital technologies sectors.
Malcolm Goggin
Sales, Marketing & Business Development Manager
Malcolm Goggin has over 26 years experience in commercial & technical roles with organisations such as GE, GEC, and Rockwool.
His current role is primarily concerned with delivering customer satisfaction, facilitating repeat business from satisfied clients and ensuring Powercomm remains at the forefront in excellence of service delivery and innovation. Malcolm has a depth of experience in pharma, bio-pharma; data centres, medical devices, micro-electronics and general commercial industry.
He is also committed to ensuring that the Powercomm team delivers on specifications, on time and within budget. He also sits on the company safety & quality team and is the lead in our R&D activities.
Dušan Horvat
Design Engineer
Dusan Horvat has over 15 years’ global experience in the electrical power sector. In his role he controls project roll-outs in the power infrastructure segment and in his role as Quality Manager he has the responsibility for the implementation of the company’s quality management system.
His principle role is to verify client quality requirements are consistently achieved, the preparation of client QA manual, the control and supervision of all amendments and revisions, to monitor all quality related activities on the projects, perform internal audits, preparation, and control of project quality documentation, monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management systems, coordination of the QA/QC activities, quality related correspondence with the clients and their representatives, manage & control all handover documentation. Dusan also manages the company’s compliance with our ISO operating standards. And is the lead in our R&D activities.
Dražen Tubić
Health, Safety and Environment Manager
With over 7 years of experience in the electrical engineering, principally with Power Systems, Drazen brings this valuable experience of managing power engineering & safety in large multi-national companies across demanding projects to the role of HSE Manager at Powercomm.
He has a good balance of theoretical knowledge, wide-ranging skills, as well as academic and practical competency.
He is well placed to ensure compliance with all current legislation and regulations in relation to health and safety in the workplace.
Previous working experience includes working on data centres, power stations, alternative energy installations.
